Southport, being undefeated
in '99, deserve to be warm favourites. But I'm sure the Eagles
will more than give a good account for themselves on Saturday.
It's commonly accepted that they are the only side to stretch
the Sharks this year, and I don't expect them to fall apart the
way they did in the major semi a fortnight ago. I'll have to
say that the Sharks should win, but what a win it would be if
the Eagles could roll them in the one that counts !!! In the
reserves, I think Southport might reverse the result when they
lost to the Panthers two weeks ago, and in fact, I think they
might somewhat pump Morningside in a one-sided affair.
