Comments

After losing 5 top players from the previous week (either due to injury or AFL selection) Norwood scored a hard fought win over the Eagles.  The game was close and even, everytime it looked like one of the sides was going to run away they were pegged back by the opposition.  In the end though it was Norwood with full forward Christian O'Brien kicking 6 goals who ran out winners by 13 points.

Sturt continued on their good form this time downing North at Prospect Oval.  North outplayed Sturt for most of the day but when it counted in the final quarter the Sturt forwards lifted and kicked 5.2 goals to steal the game away from a determined Roosters outfit.

At the Bay the Magpies never looked like losing and went into the final quarter with a five goal lead.  In the last quarter the Magpies ran riot and kicked 6.4 to Glenelgs 4 points to run away winners by 66 points.  After the game McGuiness (Glenelg's coach) said his side was taught a football lesson while Williams (Port's coach) said he is now looking forward to paying back Norwood in next weekends ANZAC Day clash.

The suprise team of the year West Adelaide continued their unbeaten run by downing Central Districts at Adelaide Oval. In the first half West used the ball much better than the Doggies and snuck away to a handy half time lead of 17 points thanks to the good work of Nick Stevens (Port Power squad member). After the main break Centrals played better but it wasn't enough and ended up losing by 9 points.
