Comments

Sturt make it 4 in a row with their 24 point win over the Eagles.  Sturts Simon Feast was again best on ground with the big man gaining 29 possesions and kicking 3 goals. The Eagles were outplayed all day and if they hadn't staged a mini comeback in the last quarter (the Eagles kicked the last 4 goals of the match) the margin would have been greater.

In a classic game at Adelaide Oval it was Port who came out the winners.  In a game where both teams had the chance to win it was Port who managed to hold out a last quarter surge by Norwood and won the game by 15 points.  The main difference between the 2 sides was that Port had a winning forward, with Paul Evans kicking 4 goals.

It was a tough game game played in heavy weather at Richmond.  Glenelg were behind by 1 point going into the final quarter and hit the lead in the first 10 minutes before the Bloods stepped up a gear.  West kicked 5.1 in a blistering 10 minute display to run out winners by 17 points.

The Doggies setup their win over South in the first quarter that yeilded 7 goals to 1.  In the second half the Panthers matched Centrals but the damage had already been done and Centrals ran out easy winners by 43 points.
