Comments

Glenelg ended a 12 game losing streak by beating the Eagles by 41 points at Glenelg Oval.  Inspired by Nick Chigwidden playing his 250th game, Glenelg controlled the whole match and in the end ran out easy winners despite having 5 injured players in the final quarter.

The Doggies started strongly against North at Elizabeth and held a 7 goal lead and half time.  In the last half the Roosters started to win more of the ball but never seriously threatened the Doggies who ran out winners by 18 points.

The Panthers started stongly and continued with the hard work at the ball to win by 17 points at Norwood Oval.  South led all day and at the start of the final quarter Norwood kicked to within 4 points before the Panthers steadied and ran away from Norwood.

At Alberton Oval it was the Magpies who led by 35 points in the 2nd quarter and looked like running away with the game. Sturt though steadied and during the 3rd quarter were only 2 points down.  Port then dominated the final quarter and ended up winning by 32 points.
