Comments
A confident Port Adelaide outfit
continue on their merry way this time destroying West by 77 points.
The match was a hard and tough affair with Darren Smith (Port)
and Sam Jones (West) clashing twice causing an all in scuffle
at the end of the 2nd term. There are no reports as yet but their
may be some players reported by video. Port controlled
the match all day but wasn't able to clearly break free until
the final quarter where they kicked 7.8 to nothing. Port
are now brimming with confidence having won their last 5 matches
by 60 points or more and go into next weeks Grand Final as favourites.
After the match comments:
"It took us a long
time to break them but
it was good to run over them and get a
bit of confidence for next week"
"We were under the pump at quarter time
but the guys really responded"
Stephen Williams - Port coach
"We totally lost
it in the last quarter
but we've come a long way this year and
that was not an indication of what we've
done this year"
"We've got a lot to learn from that
because if we don't we're not going to
improve."
Michael Taylor - West coach
