Comments
Well its been a while but the footy season is on again and what a wet and windy day it was to start off another season.

The round started with a night game at Norwood Oval between North and Norwood. North started strong and for the first half easily pushed Norwood aside with their aggressive attack on the ball. In the last half Norwood awoke and hit the lead for the first time 5 minutes into the final quarter. North though hit back and ended up winning by 7 points.

In bad conditions at Noarlunga Oval Port kept South scoreless in the first quarter and steadily increased their lead as the match wore on. The first quarter was the panthers best (despite not scoring) with players repeatedly diving on any loose ball stopping Ports advantage going with the strong wind. For the next three quarters though the Magpies showed their skill and won easily by 23 points.

West pulled off a great come back to score a confidence building win over Sturt. The Blues started strongly and looked set for a win before the Bloods kicked 6 goals in the final quarter to run out winners by 13 points.

A new-look Glenelg outfit (with 9 first time players) won easily over a inexperienced Eagles team. It was a tight first half with both teams even at the half time break. In the last half though the Tigers took control and ended up winning by 22 points.
