Comments

This weeks round started on Thurday night with a night game between Port and Norwood. Port virtually sealed the game in the first quarter with a brilliant 10 goal opening term. From then on Port steadily built their lead and ran out easy winners by 59 points. Best for Port was Sam Phillipou with 10 goals while Norwoods only shining light was Christian O'Brien with 5 goals.

After a disappointing loss against Port last week South hit back with a good win against Centrals at Elizabeth Oval. The Pathers though aid a heavy price with Captain and Magaery Medalist Andrew Osborn (torn hamstring) and Nathan Genovese (dislocated shoulder) both being injured. The injuries both occured in the first half and seemed to inspire South whose players stepped up and kicked away from the oggies in the last half.

The Eagles showed what they are capable of by beating the Bloods by 30 points. The Eagles completely dominated the first half kicking 12 goals to 2. In the second half West hit back and managed to outscore the Eagles by 35 points but it was too little too late.

At Unley Oval the first term was fairly even with both teams hard at the ball. Sturt though kicked away in the final 3 quarters to win by an impressive 88 points.
