Overview
The web pages of your tipping competition are 'responsive'. This means that the display of the page changes depending on the size of the screen being used. The most notable feature is that the menu changes to a 'drop-down' on a small screen, and fonts on some screens get bigger for ease of reading.
Whilst there is no phone app specifically for the tipping competition pages, your tippers can access the pages quickly & easily on their phone by creating a 'shortcut' on their Home screen.
The method of doing this depends on whether their phone is an iPhone or an Android phone.
Adding a Home Screen shortcut on an iPhone
Quick instructions:
Go to the webpage in Safari.
Tap on the menu icon (the 'square with the vertical arrow in it') at the bottom of the screen
.
Tap on 'Add to Home Screen'.
Tap on 'Add'.
Long instructions with pictures:
First, visit the competition web pages using Safari.
Once you are on the page, tap the menu icon.
In the Safari menu , tap on the Add to Home Screen option.
Next, give your website shortcut an appropriate name, and tap Add.
It is recommended that you rename the shortcut because many websites have a long name, so there may not be enough space to display all the characters. The maximum length of a shortcut name ranges from 11 to 15 characters, depending on the width of the characters. If the name is too long, some characters may be replaced.
For example, a website with the name “A very long website name” may be displayed as “A very lo….”
When you tap the Add button, you will be taken back to the home screen where your new website shortcut is located.

Quick instructions:
Go to the webpage in your browser.
Tap on the menu icon (the three vertical dots or lines) in the top right hand corner of the screen .
Tap on 'Add to Home screen'.
Long instructions with pictures:
First, visit the competition web pages using the browser on your phone.
Once you are on the page, tap the menu icon.
In the menu, tap on the Add to Home Screen option.
When you tap the Add to Home screen option button, a shortcut to the website will be added to the home screen. It looks very similar to a normal app.
